Olla Kala OK

first_img Facebook Twitter: @NeosKosmos Instagram This week marked the 174th anniversary of the word OK. Regarded as one of the highest used words in the English language, the most frequently used and most typed word on the planet, the history of the word is heavily debated by linguists all over the word; and Greece is in the running. Many historians believe that OK began more than 2000 years ago, as an acronym of the saying olla kala, which translates to everything is fine. Whatever the case, OK is set to have a bigger celebration next year when it turns 175, and hopefully on its birthday the debate on where and when the word started will be put to be bed once and for all.last_img
